As the Global CFO Network continues to explore leaderships structures, skillsets and cultures from different sectors, we’re delighted to be hosting the Commander of the US Navy’s Naval Special Warfare Command, Rear Admiral Jamie Sands, and the Force Master Chief, Master Chief Walter Dittmar. Rear Admiral Sands is a highly-experienced Navy SEAL who has led numerous special operations commands. Prior appointments include as Chief of Staff, US Special Operations Command; Commander, Special Operations Command Africa; and Commander, Naval Service Training Command. Earlier tours included as Commodore of Naval Special Warfare Group Two, including service in Afghanistan, and as Commander of SEAL Team Eight and Chief Staff Officer, Naval Special Warfare Development Group (SEAL Team Six). Master Chief Dittmar’s career includes service in multiple SEAL teams, in training commands, and service in Iraq, and his role is to execute on leadership strategy across the command.

Both Rear Admiral Sands and Master Chief Dittmar bring a unique background of theory and practice to the teaching of leadership skills, and are looking forward to sharing this with a business audience. Naval Special Warfare command consists of 10,000 personnel responsible for the US Navy’s special operations capability.
